Every year in July, Pedraza holds the Concierto de las Velas festival during La Noche de las Velas. Residents of the town and surrounding cities light candles along the streets and residences. In the city center multiple concerts are held featuring varying types of Spanish classical music. See La Noche de las Velas (in Spanish).
Estivemos em Pedraza na semana passada.

” Reflections on female relationships, complexities of emotions and feelings, family and relatives. Family and people I have known, representations, figuratively, abstractly or both.
Working on, sometimes a tender palette, sometimes a more vibrant one, capturing a glimpse of female feelings, strong but also subtle. For me, the female psyche are represented by clouds and drips of paint highlighting the rich texture of the canvas. I enjoy using natural powder pigments forming shadows and lights that are changing and transforming itself, colors interactions altering the final results, forming new details, totally unexpected. I think it’s fascinating to see how all those colors and forms take me to different aspects of my own journey on this life. “

As a Brazilian artist, I made this digital work to celebrate the Olympic Games – Rio 2016; this is my contribution to the athletes. I know our country has problems, big problems but the Olympic Games, is after all, a celebration for the athletes, made by them and for them.
Now, Rio de Janeiro belongs to them….
Pollution, zika, violence, accommodation problems… they will overcome all of this for the love of sports.
Good luck to all of them!
Everything in Malasaña invites you to stay and grab a beer. Impossible not to try their famous “tapas” sandwiches made with a selection ranging from Iberian ham to fillets. Most of the sandwiches are served on either a crunchy ‘pan de cristal’ or tortillas.
Everyday is a day of Fiesta!! And the summer season has just started.
I couldn’t resist the temptation to buy the iPad Pro… and yes, I’m talking about the gigantic one! Now, I’m discovering how to use all these amazing tools for drawing, sketching, coloring, and also trying new ways to ally technology to my old fashion way of doing art: pen, pencils, watercolor, mixed media and oil.
I’ve decided now to work on watercolor because of its freshness and unexpected final results. It’s been a long time since I’ve worked with this particular media and I need to practice to regain the skills I lost to express what I want to. As the seasons in Spain change, the variety of food changes with it. So I decide to start a new project: to capture the Spanish way of enjoying food .
